Yes, "Researching Costume Jewelry" is pretty much THE place to go when you are trying to research a jewelry maker. The site owners, Dotty Stringfield and Pat Seal, are always adding to it, often with interactive help from the members in the online community of vintage jewelry collectors/dealers (ie Jewel Collect). It's considered authoritative enough that it has been referenced in books!
Another great site is Morning Glory Collects, which also has a section on costume jewelry marks:
as well as a ton of other info--a pictorial timeline on jewelry history, vintage jewelry ads, old photos of Edwardian and Victorian ladies wearing jewelry--and, of course, fabulous examples of vintage and antique costume jewelry itself.
"The Three Graces" doesn't have info per se, but it's a great site to browse if you want to see some examples of older, fine jewelry (as far back as the Georgian period):
There's SO much to learn, Anna--I have tons of jewelry books/mag subscriptions, belong to online forums, go to jewelry conferences, you name it, and I still don't have more than a vague clue most of the time (but at least at this point I know where to go research it!)
