Last week I went to Chicago to visit my son and go to Ravinia. I spent two days in a "behind the scenes" visit at the Chicago History Museum where they are currently dressing the mannequins for Chicago Chic.
This will be a fabulous exhibition with 50 garments--all the name designers and some very well-know garments. One of my favorites is the Schiaparelli jacket with the Jean Cocteau design--embroidered with beads at Lesage.
For a preview and more info go to the Chicago History Museum website. The exhibit opens in Sept. and will be on display for 10 mo. If you can't possibly make it, there will be a fabulous catalog. If you are going, get the catalog first.
