Circa 1920s stencilled coat or robe?

Does anyone recognise this style of metallic stencilling with embroidery? I've not come up with anything so far but I know the members here are likely to have come across similar. It is made from a silk charmeuse outer with a very lightweight burnt orange silk lining which has shattered. I want to replace the lining to make it wearable. I'm also trying to decide whether it was originally made as an evening coat or robe. It's so lovely I'd quite happily wear it as a coat even if this was never its intended purpose.

Any and all thoughts welcome!

Thanks everyone! Much appreciated input. Any thoughts on where this might have been made or influenced by with the style of the stencils?

It's very hard to say where a garment might have been made. This is where provenance (and labels) help so much. As to the style of the stencils, European folkwear motifs had a run of popularity in the 20s, as did that black and orange color combination. All I can suggest is doing an image search and seeing what look similar.

Thanks Hollis, I've done just that but unfortunately come up with the stencilled velvets from Fortuny and Gallenga.

I was hoping someone here might be aware of other makers who used stencilling so I could continue the search.
