Cleaning 1950s satin wedding shoes

Hello!

No pictures I'm afraid but you can imagine for now :) I have a sweet pair of 1950s wedding heels in a candlelight satin.

They're generally in good shape but could do with a clean. Would I take these to a cleaners? Or is there anything I can do myself? I just thought whoever buys them would probably want them cleaned as they are wearable (US7 or 7.5 A if I remember rightly)

Thanks :D

You can't clean them :( I had the same problem with a candlelight satin 1930's pair. In the end, I bought the Dylon dye for satin shoes and dyed them black.

The Dylon satin shoe dye is cheap too BUT my shoemaker said that only black will cover up any scuffs and marks. Any other color will have color variations where the fabric has been marked or scuffed.
