Cleaning 50s Wool Felt Skirt

Hi everyone,
I have a Koret of California wool felt circle skirt. The label says "hand-washable." There are a few marks that seem like dirt? Seems a bit like it can just be scrubbed off... Is a hand wash okay?
Thanks in advance everyone!

Great skirt! I've got a quilted cotton Koret circle skirt that also says it's hand washable--but I wouldn't dream of it, for fear that the sizing in the fabric would be washed out and I'd end up with a limp mess. Plus, as Asia points out, the bright dye in this could run.

I'd either carefully spot clean the dirty area, or take the whole thing to a good dry cleaner.

I would try and take that off dry, especially as it is felt you may just be able to carefully tweezer it off (some very fine fibres of the felt will be trapped in it, but not much).

A good point my dry cleaner made is that often care labels are sewn in prior to the embellishements and can only apply to the undecorated garment. So it may well have been hand washable, before the flowers were applied.
