cleaning advice, please

This adorable vintage dress has several stains that look kind of rust colored. They look like water stains or something. My sister thinks it is acetate fabric. Do you think I should just try dry cleaning, or could I attempt to get the stains out myself? What advice to you have for me. If I can get the stains out, and if I get asked, I will get married in this super cute dress. It fits very well, probably better with a good bra, but I shouldn't have to make many alterations other than maybe the bust darts. I would really like to get the stains out if possible. Thank you so much!!

Sorry, I tried to attach a picture, but it doesn't look like it worked. I used the attachment option, but after I browse and find the image, I'm not sure how to upload it. Sorry. I will try again after I figure it out, hopefully.

Sometimes I have had luck with a just barely damp soft cloth (white). Just go over the spots in a wispy motion and have a blow dryer on hand to dry it immediately on very low heat. Work small sections.

But...try a test area in a hem or somewhere hidden first before attempting to make sure it doesn't make things worse.

Dry cleaning would be another option.

Just plain water? Would I know right away if the water was going to stain the fabric? thank you!!
