Collar question

Hi all and Happy Thanksgiving!

I have a quick question. What is the name of this type of collar? It is on a 70s Geoffrey Beene caftan dress from his Beene Bag line.

Victoria, I think it would be a pointed dog earred collar / pointy dog ear collar

Similar to your lovely little puppy avatar!

Perhaps someone else may come up with another term for you as well.

Thank you Mary Jane. And thank you on behalf of doggie Lily. I was wondering about the fact that it is not only so extremely pointy on the front but also has this kerchief triangular shape in the back.

Agree with the dog ear collar, although I tend to call them just long pointy collars - incidentally, I recommend that you button it up completely to see how it should look as this style wasn't designed to be worn with an open collar.
