Ang,
I'm going to Berlin in July. I'm trying to arrange appt. at the Film Museum. Does anyone have any ideas about other costume museums in Berlin? Claire

The Marlene Dietrich collection (her entire personal wardrobe was bought by Germany before the Sotheby's auction that was to sell everything began) is in the Deutsches Kinemathek museum in Berlin (the museum you are trying to make an appointment at). And Martin Kamer's collection that he sold to Berlin about 5 years ago was bought by the Decorative Arts museum in Berlin - aka Kunstgewerbemuseum, Staatliche Museen zu Berlin. I believe the Kunst has a costume and textile gallery, so there should be something on display all the time. I know Martin Kamer owned 37 Vionnet dresses, so if nothing else, they should have at least one of those on display!
