Cool Clip On Earrings

Are these 40's? They are cool - Iam ussually not a fan of clip-on earrings. I cant tell what it is made of straw or feathers? It is very crisp. The center is plastic. Is there a name for this sort of earring.

I would say 50s or maybe even early 60s. Think pinwheels, too!

Pinwheel is what came to mind for me, too.

The button shape, color, and chic if whimsical feel say late 50s/early 60s to me. They're great--very unusual!
