Coopers mens wear

Does anyone know when this men's clothing brand started, and when it ended? I am trying to date a label of novelty jockey shorts with this label. It has a picture of a jockey, and says "Coopers".

Funny, I have boxer shorts up for sale on Etsy that look very similar. Mine are from the 50s.
