Could Anyone Help with a Fur Coat? Different Fur...

I'm puzzled by this 70's coat....
No labels or tags, beautiful lining edged with cording (lining is quite a heavy fabric with a flat hand).

Collar is fox I think, but I'm not sure on the body of the coat.
It's a very orange looking fur.
It's shaved and the outer hairs are quite stiff, while the underhair is very dense and very downy soft.

The fur has a curl to the hair on the areas that are not shaved (I've tried to show that on the end of the cuff).

It is quite coarse and has more of a slick hand, not exactly like mink but that sort of texture with that dense underlay.
I've honestly never seen a fur like it.

Would anyone know what it might be?

I am the world's worst when it comes to advice on fur as its not an area I sell. is there anything in the fur resource about it? Actually, to me it looks like somethng more unusual...
