Could anyone tell me what these glove-like things are called?

Trying to get this bridesmaid gown and accessories listed today, and I don't know what to call these fingerless/handless gloves with tiny buttons. Have I heard mitts? Nothing sounds right to me...

Thanks all, I didn't know if having very little covering on the hand still qualified as fingerless gloves/sleeves.

Ah, I think I will be doing 27 dresses this February Karen...maybe more!

I thought gauntlets were regular gloves that reached the elbow or above...
I would call these fingerless gloves

You sent me looking Amy!

On Wikipedia, the gauntlet entry includes this:

In the clothing industry gauntlet can refer to a fashion accessory which is just an extended cuff with little or no hand covering.

There is this citation from brides.com:

Fingerless Glove

Covers the hand and arm only and varies in formality and length. Best for: a hassle-free ring exchange.

Gauntlet Glove

Resembles a sleeve from elbow to wrist. Best for: formal sleeveless or strapless wedding dresses.

I have always called gloves that flared up from the wrist gauntlet gloves...anyone else?

You've probably listed your dress already Maggie. I would still call these fingerless sleeves as that is what many of the bridal stores call them. I have also seen gauntlets used to describe these gloves and I think the term is completely misleading. Don't know why it caught on.
