Could someone please help me refine a date on this Fred Perlberg dress?

I am lost… once again. I bought her for $25 the other day, some sources say 50s, others 40s based on the style and shaping would anyone know what sort of range this dress fits into? Please let me know

Lovely dress, great find! The label matches a Fred Perlberg label in the Label Resource, which is dated as 1940s, so that ties in the the 40s dating. If it were 40s, I would think it would be post war due to fabric rationing, so maybe mid/late 40s, although it could be early 50s. It will be interesting to hear what others think.

That is a lovely gown. I would go with 40s or early 50s as well.
