Sometime ago I indicated that I was working with a colleague to photograph some of my collection to make a CD--well we made photos for 4 days last week and have about 35 garments for 2 different CDs.
One is Chanel. It includes my 17 suits and 1 coat, some copies and knock-offs from the sixties, Chanel rtw, and more recent designs from rtw by other designers that have similar inspiration--a Carolina Herrera wht. silk jacket with lace trim.
The second is general couture with garments from YSL, Chanel, Dior, Valentino, and Balenciaga. There are some comparisons of Chanel couture and rtw and YSL couture and rtw.
Both have some images on dress forms and some details. I've also included a few sewing samples for my sewing friends but most of you will find them interesting because they explain how garments are constructed.
There is a Chanel scarf segment as well--a genuine Chanel and several copies--with info on how to determine the diff.
Neither will be ready until about 1 Oct.
I've procrasticated enough the morning and must finish an article for Vogue Pattern Mag. and one for Sew News.
