Coyote Fur or Raccoon Fur?

Hi all,
I have a 1960s fur trim coat, that I was sure was coyote fur, however, now i'm questioning myself after seeing a few other coats marked raccoon fur. The guard hairs are very soft and pretty long and some long hairs stick past the guard hairs with blonde and black tips that have a definite crisp texture. Would love your expertise and thanks in advance!

Hi Brooke, The trim is called Tanuki which is also known as Japanese Raccoon dog. Most who offer it title it Tanuki Raccoon.
