Curious about regency cashmere

Hi everyone,
I just recently found your lovely community and have been browsing around and I apologize if my question is a bit silly, but I have tried to learn more about my old coats and several of them have the quite common label that says "regency cashmere". Can anyone please explain to me what that means? Do it has something to do with the origin of the fabric or is it a maker?

I would greatly appreciate help since I love old coats but I don't want to buy pieces that's not actual cashmere.

Thanks! Linn

Thank you and thank you for your help! Yes I would think so also since it says London New York on the label but it confuses me that I can't find anything on Google on them and the black coat is from Saks apparently. The tan one has union labels.

I also have one more similar to the one with the Saks label at the dry cleaners and that one don't have any information about the composition either. Or more tags inside.

They must have been pretty big because I see it a lot.
