Cutie Pie Striped Straw Hat 30\'s or 40\'s?

I originally though late 30's but I'm not the best at hats. I just love this one. Also what would you call this style?
 
I have to leave for the museum, so I am sorry that I only had time for a quick search of the newspaper databases. I did not find your cute hat, but I found ads for "Jean Allen of Gage" from 1938-1953 and I thought your hat resembled the early 1950s hats more than the 1940s hats.

Away, thank you for the search suggestion. I am looking though newspaper databases to which I subscribe and when I first searched for: "Jean Allen" and "hat" I got thousands and thousands of hits, so I needed a way to narrow it further, although I am sure by so doing I loped off a great many relevant hits.
 
Thanks Lynne and my fairy friend. I'll do some more poking around. I only found items for sale on ebay and etc when searching and I don't like to just date from other people's guesses.. without adding VFG guesses..
 
Hi, what a darling striped hat! From your photos, it looks to be a late 50s/early 60s even piece retro to the 30s. The label is not consistent with the 30s, and the straw used looks later too; also that type of topknot decoration is 30s retro-y and seen on quite a few late 50s/60s numbers. (Wished more people would show inside/label pix too, they really help)
