This is a sheer cotton dress with rickrack trim, pull over head (no closures) style and elastic on the puffed sleeves.
Do you think 1930's...or later?
Thanks so much to everyone for their help!

I agree - it looks like one of those early Juniors out of St. Louis - the young look and sounding name... a light summer evening dress perhaps?

Great day in the morning, it's nearly identical to one of my Mamaw's housedresses!

I can confirm: yes, 1930s. My grandmother's (the aforementioned Mamaw) had a floral design on the striped background instead of the leaf motif, and no label. She made it herself, and I'm pretty sure that she still had the pattern. The garment is a morning dress or house dress; suitable for doing chores around the home, but nice enough to wear if friends dropped by. I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest that this one was made by an individual dressmaker, rather than a ready-to-wear company, based on the label.

Tina, what a nifty find! Thank you for sharing it.

Given the length, it's got to be either an evening dress or nightgown...a housedress would be mid-calf. I'm trying to wrap my head around rick rack on an evening gown.
