Date Check on Sweater

This is a fully formed lambswool men's sweater.

Why am i even thinking about it in April? VTA, that's why.

My immediate thought was 60s...in fact i was pretty positive about it, but i am not a man's sweater expert so am just making for certain. Its got that ribbed edge (?) trim on the bottom, and around the collar. But the 100% pure lambswool looked older to me today. Its actually deep hunter green but the camera just doesn't show it.
