Date for Baby Pink Leather Chanel Skirt

Hi! Hoping someone can help me out!
I bought this leather Chanel skirt at a thrift store about 10 years ago for $20. Does anyone have any idea when it was made? It is high waisted, a pretty light pink (almost a powder pink) SUPER soft leather, decorative stitching and a matching pink YKK zipper in back. The pictures look yellow (and have my shadow in them!) but in person it is so fabulous. It is in near perfect condition. If I were to put it on consignment how much do you think it is worth?

Hi Bekkah, and welcome to the forums.

I think these skirts generally date to the early '90s, but perhaps the late '80s. It looks like it's very high waisted, so it could be from about '89-91.

What it's worth will depend in great part on whether it's authentic or not. Unfortunately, we can't help you with that as an appraiser needs to hold it in their hand to pick up all the clues, but as a general rule, if you inspect the materials and construction it will give an indication as most fakes are not well made.

Have you tried looking online to see if you can find something similar? Closed ebay auctions might give you some ideas as to value.
 
Hi, the skirt looks beautiful as well as in a good condition. I agree with Circa Vintage that it must be from early 90's. You must look for so that you can find some similar products and their prices.
