Lizzie, I have studied your great page but I can't decide when this one was made! Can you or anyone tell me please?

Those are embroidered appliqués, in case you can't see that detail.

Thanks Brenda! Hard to resist the candy stripes, isn't it? I was afraid it was too short for that era, but it certainly seems older than 60s to me. :clueless:

Because it has the "reg", it has to be 1956 or after. The company applied for trademark registration in 1954, and it was granted in 1956.

Double-check to make sure it was not shortened. My guess is late 50s, very early 60s. Can't be too late in the 60s, or it probably would not have those great pockets!

I've got 3 I'm working on now with the REG on the tag, all with later 50s to mid 60s style prints. Yours certainly has that look of the earlier years, though.
You look like you should be singing and skipping through the farmer's market with a bluebird on your shoulder! Happy and care-free! :singing:

Thank you Princess Swirl (Lizzie)! It might have been shortened...it has a very neat hand-sewn hem.

And now I'm off to skip through the farmer's market with a bluebird on my shoulder~ :hysterical:

Maggie, it's adorable! And I'd go with late 50's as well; I have 2 very similar dresses (not with that label, though!), and I estimated late 50s for both of them. One is a candy-striped pink and one a multi-color stripe in a seersucker-like fabric. (Maybe I'll stop being camera shy long enough to model one of them.... Hah! That'll be the day.)
