Date Help on Dutch\'s new Hat?

I bought my hunny this gem on Etsy last week. He's not sure he likes it. The crown is taller than his other fedora style hats. Is there a special name for this style? and.. Date?

I think it's still a fedora because of the pinch front. Some fedoras do have higher crowns. The brim on that one is a snap brim, meaning it's flanged so you can wear it up all the way around or turn part up and part down. The brim looks narrower than the classic "gangster fedora, but not narrow enough to be a stingy brim - it has to be under 2" to qualify.

On a quick google search for snap brim fedoras, found this blog post about singer Jason Mraz, whose "signature hat" looks a lot like yours.

I've got similar hats available in my shop: they're brand new, so the style is current (although yours looks older). Mine are called straw trilbies/trilby and they're very popular for summer.
