Date of pink day dress

I'm going to order this adorable pink cotton day dress, I'm thinking 1950ss maybe 60s and the as says 1950s I just want to be certain.

The ILGWU label is the 1955 - 1963 version, so you're in the ballpark!

Yes, I was thinking at the very mid 50s early 60s.

The Union label on the dress was used from 1955-1963.

I think the dress (which I agree is adorable) is from the very early 1960's - around 1961.

Another thing is the ad says its knee-length, which makes me lean more towards 1960s. I can understand how it would easily be misconstrued as 1950s though.

I just wanted to add that that is a great brand! One of my favorite to find. Not designer or anything but the dresses are consistently well made and always pretty :wub:. They also used to be worn in a 50's soap opera called "Edge of Night" if I remember correctly.

Oh that is good to know! I'm glad it'll have a good construction. Most of the vintage dresses I own do, but since I buy for myself rather than to sell, I try to look out for the best condition possible. And for $40 it was a steal!
