Date on B Altmann Kimono Style Robe

I know we dont list sources. But I got this at a consignment shop which only sells new stuff. I go in to talk to the lady in the shop if I ever go at all. An today I find this .... Its Silk and it has two B Altmann Tags one at collars and one on inside arm.... The condiiton is excellent. Some minor fraying at lining edge. Any idea on date Iam guessing 20's?

I dont beleive it I get rewarded for yacking..

I'm not sure on the date, but the motif sure has an asian inspired arts and crafts look to me. It will be interesting to see what others say. Nice find!

It's quite a stunning piece, I would be apt to agree at 1920s on this as well.

The geometric patterning is quite wonderful...pity it does not have a designer name on it, have you examined the inside seams?

Do you think the consignor realized what a treasure s/he was parting with? I wonder...

I heard the consigner was elderly and a bit loony (He also brought in alot of junk to consign).... Probally no clue to what he was consigning. He said this peice was his mothers... And this guy was really really old. I asked the owner to call and see if he had anymore stuff. The owner said she would but she says he is pretty weird. We'll see....
