Date on Mesh Metal Bag? And Killer Novelty Print!

First the question....got this bag in Saturday and wondered if its 20s or maybe 30s. Its very small, maybe 7" long, and the rings are just big enough to slip over a finger. Does that type of bag have a name? No markings (looks W&D, but no proof)......

And just wanted to share this print! Love how it looks like the women are either wearing a gardenia in their hair or leaning to sniff one...

You find the best things! I would say '20's on the bag. It's probably a Vanity bag that a flapper would have put her "necessaries" in. Love the dress. Did you add the belt or is it original?

Thanks guys! Its not a belt on the dress, its a silk inset with 2 bows on either side of front. Original as the zipper goes right through it on the side.

Finger purse! That's it, Carrie. On pp. 104 and 105 of Judith Miller's "Handbags" are illustrations of two silver (engraved, not mesh) finger purses with "finger rings."

Couldn't find any finger purses in either of the sections on Whitiing & Davis or mesh bags in general, and they looked pretty complete. So you've got an unusual piece there.
 
Wow, I hope you snatched up all the ones you could find then! Its a great print....this was actually pinned to the wall in a costume directors office at a theatre. I went to see her about some consignment stuff we were doing and was smitten! She debated parting with it but finally did...it wasn't doing anyone any good hanging on a wall!
