Date this grey wool Jaeger coat?

Hi folks

I work in the film industry and as part of a costume setup, I've ended up with a grey wool ladies' coat. I have no idea how vintage it really is, if it's vintage at all, but the label looks kind of oldy-worldy and maybe 70s, at a wild guess.

I'm not even normally a costume person so I'm guessing wildly. Just out of interest, does anyone have any idea what I have here? It may not be anything special at all. It weighs a ton.

Thanks for the replies. I'm not sure if it's been taken up; I did notice quite a large turnup inside, so I'd believe is. It strikes me that it looks less like a duffel coat the longer it is, so maybe we can let it back down again. Condition of the lining is not perfect but otherwise it looks like it was made yesterday. Maybe it's worth putting back on eBay when we're done with it! I paid very little for it.

The coat looks very late '60s to me, too. It might have been a "maxi" coat that was shortened. I agree with Mary Jane about making sure that the hem was not cut before you restore it to a longer length.
