Dating 2 piece set

Hello all, i was wondering if this 2 piece set is vintage? The material is silky polyester (?) It's handmade so there isn't a label anywhere.

edit: I should also mention that there is a metal zipper in the center back.

I would say yes, it is vintage. The metal zipper is helpful, as is that stitching at the center back of the jacket's lining near the neckline. We can't really see the cut of the dress...is it fitted at the waist, or relatively unstructured? As far as the fabric goes, can you do a thread-burn test? It looks a bit like Thai silk.

Hi, thank you for replying! I would say there is no waist exactly. It's almost like a shift dress but the waist is 3 inches smaller than the chest measurements. I will definitely try to do a thread burn test soon!
