Dating a Braemar Cashmere Sweater Blouse

Hi, All! I found this cashmere sweater/shirt by Braemar and at first thought it was a man's. Then I tried it on and man did I look ridiculous! So my lovely wife gave it a go and it worked much better on her. Can anyone help me date it? It looks to me like a 1940s style, but I am more often than not wrong with my dating! Any ideas? Thanks a bunch as always!

I would have said, with that label, and the collar style this design could be up to 1980's/90's.

I agree with Melanie that it looks 80s or early 90s to me with the dropped shoulder line.
