Dating a Digby Morton jacket

I would have put this as 60s myself, but I've just read the label resource bio in which Emma gave closure of his named business as 1957, so maybe I'm underestimating how fashion forward Morton still was at this time? Hard to tell when I've rarely seen any of his designs post-war. This is made of a thick Moyagoshel nubby linen fabric, fully lined, with deep back vents and two pockets.
Edit. Also just seen on the V&A's description that Morton worked in America between 1953-1957.

I found one more example of a tailored jacket with the same label, also double breasted and very 60s looking, with cropped bodice and sleeves this time. Maybe he did continue after 1958 after all?

I didn't know Morton was in the U.S. in the 50s... however, there is something very American looking about this - the yoke with its Western cowboy styling looks very American. The demi-fitted waist looks middle 50s to me and presumably this would have had a straight skirt and a blouse of which the collar may have been worn outside of the round neck, or a collar and cuff set that was detached for washing and never put back on. I could see this as 56-57ish

Sorry I corrected my post above, that should have read Morton was working in America, not in America. I think he was mostly in England with the occasional trip across for the companies he designed for that we already know about. He did also export to the USA. There is some more about the American influence on his RTW in England here:

I saw the 'western' look to it too but wasn't sure if I was making it up - it really is so not English. (at least not until the 1980s in my experience).
I also have no idea how I managed to ignore the giant 'made in england' on the brand label, which is also a difference to all other labels I've seen. Perhaps this is possibly an item intended for export.
I wish I could see the labels on the V&A garments from the 1950s. I may ask and see if they will share them.
This waistcoat that belonged to DM is possibly one of my favourite things I've seen - they mention here his love for colours, despite the british palate:
