This dress has me a little confused - everything about it says 30s to me (the fabric, side snap closures, cut, buttons, and belt buckle), but it has serged seams. I found it in a house that had been untouched since the early 60s, and inside a box that only had 30s and 40s clothing with it. I know overlocking was around before the 30s, but does anyone know if it was ever used in normal clothing in the 30s and 40s?
