Dating a Dubarry Wedding Dress Help

Hello All!

I found this wedding dress at an estate sale, I didn't have time to ask questions because it was a nut house, and both my kids were screaming so I had to high tail it out of there lol.

I found the label Dubarry here on the site and am assuming its midcentury, but I was hoping to date it more specifically. Early 1950s? Maybe late 40s? Has a metal zipper on the side. Thanks so much for your help!! And one last question, would you try and soak this yourself to get some stains out? or would dry cleaning be a better option? thank you all!!

The label does appear in our label resource.

It's a tough one to date as they may well have kept the same label for many years. I don't see it as being 60s.
I take it the belt was no longer with it, that may help to id it. It also seems to have a long bodice.
I am seeing more of a late 40s, early 50s with this one.

If the chiffon is rayon it would shrink when washed but it will need freshening. Leaving it out in the sunlight
for a good period of time might be of some help.

Thank you so very much for your reply, the belt was not with the piece unfortunately. And it does have quite a long bodice like you mentioned. I'm trying to get better at dating things and it helps greatly seeing your reply! Thanks again for your help!
