Dating a Frank Usher heavily embellished dress

Hi

I have a beautiful heavily embellished Frank Usher dress that I am wondering how to get an accurate date on. I found this piece in a charity shop over 10 years ago and its been in storage since then. It isn't missing a single bead, has a very good weight to it and is a size 10 with a champagne coloured fitted shift dress underneath. I'd love to get a date on it as I cannot find another like it online anywhere. Can anyone help please, or advise on a route I can take for this information.

Thank you for that link, it's very helpful, I believe it's a 1980's piece. I'm looking to sell it but no one seems to be interested. You wouldn't happen to know of anyone/ store that buys vintage pieces? It's just stuck in storage at my house otherwise and it seems a waste for a piece that is so pretty and in good condition
