Dating a jacket (for the label resource)

I posted this label for Frederick & Nelson the other day from a late 60s Adele Simpson wool dress that carried the 63-74 ILGWU label:

I came across this label today. It has a slightly different font:

It's from a mohair boucle jacket, probably originally to a suit (and which I'm going to reshoot outside, when this wretched weather changes). It carries the 55-63 ILGWU label. About where in that range would you peg this jacket? I remember this fabric being popular in 1963, but the lines look a little earlier to me.

Thought I'd try to nail it before submitting the label to the resource. (And maybe I'm too finely splitting hairs ... )

That makes sense, Nicole, thanks. I'd been thinking along the lines of 1958-61, so I'll stick with late 50s unless someone else jumps in and says we're insane.

Yeah, the buttons are ginormous MOPs, almost an inch and a half:

The lining is rayon crepe and the pockets are almost impractically shallow, at two and a half inches deep. About all they could manage is a car key and a lipstick.
