Dating a Laura Ashley Dress

Hello all!

First I'd like to say thank you to everyone here on VFG. I've only just signed up but I've been using it as an absolutely brilliant resource for a long time. I don't know where I'd be without this site!

I've got this lovely little needlecord Laura Ashley dress, among my many LA dresses, but I'm a little doubtful as to how to date this piece.

It has a label that I believe usually denotes an early 70s piece, but the style is so different from what I'm accustomed to seeing from early 70s LA. The cut, the length (I'm certain it hasn't been altered), etc. There are just a couple similar cuts with this label on Etsy, for example, and they date their dresses as late to 60s / early 70s. But I'm just not sure.

Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with 70s. I don't think it's as early as late 60s, by both the style and the label. And also not 80s.

The belt is one of my proudest finds. I (somewhat obsessively) collect these clasping hands belts and this is the nicest one I've ever found
