Dating a man suit.

Hi Everyone,

I need your help to date a man suit. No labels.

And i would like to learn every details about suits till 90's . Measurments of lapels, fabrics, jacket lenght etc. Is there any books or web sites that i can educate myself and know the difference between them ?

I would have to handle it to be sure, but the button fly in combination with the wide lapel, lack of pocket flaps, and small pleat fronts suggest wartime 40s to me.
