Dating a men's bomber (?) jacket

Hi there,
I have this great light mint green men's jacket that I am having a difficult time dating. It appears to be very well made. It is fully lined; the outer slubbed fabric seems to be a linen (maybe a butcher linen?- it's quite sturdy). The waist adjustment buckles are metal. Its only label is "professional dry clean only." My guesses are 40s or 50s, but I can't quite convince myself of an era (one of the many reasons I am so thankful for VFG!). I am not sure what this style jacket would be called so any help on that would also be appreciated. Y'all are the best- thank you!!

Something's making me think 70s.
My thoughts as to why it wasn't 70s was the old-fashioned "dry clean only" label and I thought the collar would be a little pointier and more exaggerated. Also the quality. But I could totally be wrong... Thank you for commenting!

Yes, I see late '70s safari suit jacket, which explains why the collar isn't as pointy as the earlier ones. Safari suits were worn until the end of the decade and were very popular in certain locations (like Australia).

Interesting. Thank you Nicole! I looked up 70s safari jackets and I can definitely see where you are going with that. It's funny because when I look at the pictures it looks more safari-esque than it does in person, but I guess pictures are informative in that way. I really appreciate your help!
