Dating a pony/calfskin jacket- pre '60s?

Hi guys,

My Mum bought this jacket recently, I believe it's pony/calfskin? Although checking through the fur resource it could also be goat hide, but it's super soft which isn't something I associate with goat..!
It has quite a boxy fit to around hip length, with those corded hook and loop fastenings and satiny lining.

It feels earlier than the '60s to me, can anyone offer any dating help?

It certainly looks like cow to me......is there a clasp at the top, or does the collar sit down? If you can play with it to see how the collar should sit (I hope this makes sense) it will help. I agree that it's probably '60s but I wonder if the collar is supposed to do up like this?
