Dating a satin bed jacket? 40s?

Hello, I've recently acquired a ton of vintage from a local antique shop that closed down and one of the many things I found was this pink satin bed jacket. I think it's a bed jacket. I'm only a beginner in vintage collecting so I'd really appreciate some help! Does anyone know what to date this top? My immediate guess was 40's-50's but I'm not sure. Thank you :) IMG_3212.JPGIMG_3213.JPGIMG_3214.JPGIMG_3215.JPG

That is lovely. I can't see for sure, is the lace different at the cuffs than on the bodice I wonder if it might have been added as it's unusual to see the snaps on a bed jacket. Often the sleeves on these were not to the wrist so perhaps someone wanted a longer sleeve.
Thanks for replying. The lace is definitely the same on both the bodice and the cuffs. Since there are snaps, could this be anything other than a bed jacket?

It is possible that this is a jacket made to go over a matching nightgown, which was my first thought. That is not to say that it could not double as a bed jacket.
That was my original thought too.

Does anyone know how I can care for this? Would steaming it be the best way to get rid of the wrinkles? I'm not sure how to handle this material.
