Dating a Union dress

I am thinking this might be 60s but i want to make sure about it.
linen fabric
metal zipper
raw edge
Feel like flight attendant.

Good instincts - 60s - and agree it really does have a flight attendant feel.

Is the dress quite heavy? Looks like it. If so, it is not linen but made to resemble linen.

Yes, the dress weights about 1 lb.

I agree 1960's, It looks like wool to me.
Has the skirt been shortened? the proportion looks a little off.

That's the 1963 - 1974 label, so that should back up your dating.

The skirt doesn't seem like to be shortened but I will take a picture underneath the skirt when I get home.

That hem looks original with the tape and the machine hem stitch. That sure looks like a linen or linen blend to me.

Agree on the original hem - and the fabric looks like a linen-style rayon to me but it's hard to know without handling it.
