Dating a vintage Asian dress

Hi,

I often have a hard time dating vintage Asian items and this is no exception. Any ideas? The fabric is a thin rayon velvet, it has a nylon zipper, a 17" split up the back and is very narrow at the bottom (22 inches). The color is much prettier than my photos are showing and is more of a raspberry or dark magenta color. It's very small and won't fit my mannequin, so the photos leave much to be desired.

Asian items are hard to date. Looking at it I would guess 1990's. The older ones are usually a bit more substantial with silk linings and side zippers.

Doesn't strike me as Asian, as in made in Asia. Inspired by, sure. But not a beaded piece from Asia. Hard to date as its clearly hand made.....I'm honestly feeling 60s, but could be anywhere from then to 90s.
