Dating a wedding dress

Hi everyone!

I purchased this wedding dress thinking it was 40's. I did a google search to find most people are calling this style 50s. I am hoping you can help me clear this up, so that I can date it properly. It has no zipper and no labels. Also, do you know what this type of lace is called? And sorry you have to look at my messy house.

Thank you so much!

I see mid 50's to mid 60's. Although cutting edge fashion of the early to mid 60's was churning out a new style of wedding gown, I've had similar dresses to yours in my wedding gown collection with union tags from both periods. The style is definitely 1950's though and if you're going to list it for sale, I would use 1950's as a keyword. It's beautiful!!
