Dating a William Cahill Wedding Gown

Hi! I do bridal alterations and tend to go to thrift store to find dresses to pick parts from. I found a William Cahill gown last summer - and when I brought it home and looked it up- there was no way I could use it as a parts dress! It is stunning! Flawless. No rips, no tears. The workmanship is precise and perfect. I finally found a friend tiny enough to try it on!

I would love to know when it was made and any info on William Cahill if anyone knows anything! I will be keeping this dress in a safe spot for it is a treasure no matter what worth!

Thank you
Kirsten

It's lovely. I believe it's from the 1960's, also. If you Google William Cahill, you will find a lot of information about him, including online photos of pieces for sale, and his obituary.
