Dating a wool sweater

I picked up two of these today, identical aside from one is pink and one is green. I'm posting the pink one. The buttons are metal. The tag is missing from both. For some reason those seams make me think 1970s. I added a pic of the green one just to show the color. Thank you for your help!

I've been googling like crazy and found these sweaters all over etsy and eBay, known as Tally Ho sweaters. Some people are listing them as being from the 50s, some from the 70s and 80s. There certainly isn't any shortage of them out there which has me assuming they're far more recent than the 50s.

This style of sweater has been around for quite some time with a huge spotlight on it in the 1980s which I believe this might be.

Yes, I saw a lot of these in the '80s and the green is a classic '80s shade.

They might be Geiger of Austria. My parents gave me a purple boiled wool jacket with a beautiful purple paisley wool skirt in the early 80’s. Your jacket looks so much like mine. I remember the ball buttons (mine were silver) and the silver Geiger tag. Just another set I wish I had kept!
