Dating A Woolsand Model Hat

I have a gorgeous hat here that I am a little stuck on dating. 1950's or 60's? The label is 'A Woolsand Model'. The skull of the hat is velvet and the brim is angora (I think).
I apologise I cannot get in on a mannequin today as I am stuck at home ill.

I'm seeing 50's new look era due to the mushroom shape - I think it would frame the head from quite a distance, having said that I also get a later Dr Zhivago feel from it.

I remember a fashionable young woman in my high school wearing a nearly identical hat sometime between 1963-1965.

Could you give us the dimensions of the hat, please? Width across and front-to-back. Yes, it does look like a long napped angora/rabbit fur-felt. My initial guess is early 1960s, but the size will give more clues.

Now that I see it on your very-pretty-without-makeup head, it looks less like the 1960's hat my friend from high school wore and more like a 1950's hat.

Thanks for those added photos. I can see now the construction of the crown, which extends down below the brim, which I did not see before you added the photos of yourself wearing the hat. You look lovely sans make up. I agree that the hat is 1950s, early to mid era, and very nice with the black and ivory colors. A classic!
