This pair of earrings has me thinking 50's, but I'm not sure. No marks anywhere. The flowers are plastic, kind of a salmon color, a little bit pinker than they look in the pics. Also, I'm wondering if there's a term for this style/shape, as I've seen it before. Thanks!
I'd say 60s, too, Robin. the color looks coral, to my eye, and as far as the flowers, i would say they look like Asters.
we've had a couple pair of these, and they sell well (not a real high price point, though), they're very dramatic, and they're lightweight, for their size (so shipping is inexpensive). love the color of yours!
They are great fun! I have a set myself in the more common single flower form. From the direction of the clips yours look as though they are supposed to 'cup' the ear.
Ooh Ooh Ooh... pick me...
I have these in an advert from 1954. I thought they were newer too, which is why I copied the advert... of course now I can't find it, but trust me - they are 50s.
Love to see that Jonathan if you can find it!
I went looking through Linn's jewellery workshop because I thought she had an ad for earrings that extended up the ear but didn't find it there.
I know its a photo of a dark haired woman taken from above and she is wearing virtually the identical earrings but in white, with rhinestones. I think its actually an ad for something else like liquor or cigarettes, but she is wearing those earrings..
