Dating and identifying boots

Hi, firstly I'd like to apologize for my late replies to other threads, however university projects got a bit hectic. Now the holidays have arrived I hope to be more in tune with the forums :)

I was hoping you'd be able to give me some help dating and identifying the make of a pair of boots which I bought online a while ago. They're made of a rich brown leather(the color is best captured on the right boot in the photo of the heels), mainly weaved into a sort of lattice. They're in really good condition, with a few very minor scuffs to the inside as well as a repaired loop in the lattice(where it came undone from the sole) which is now unnoticeable. Perhaps from the 1950's?
As to the logo on the inside, although it's pretty worn, I can just about make out the words "British" and perhaps "House"?

I've also added a couple of photos of another pair of heels which I had posted a while ago which I thought someone might be interested in seeing. They're a pair of what appear to me to be suede 1950's heels by Clarks, under their Skyline line.

Thanks in advance for any help! :)

I would have said those boots were from the 70s-80s, thinking of the wide strap sandals that were made with this technique around this time.

Thanks for showing the Clarks shoes - that's not a design I've seen as yet. I agree they are 1950's, I would suggest from early 1950's. From the adverts I have Skyline appears to have been a dressier range of Clarks' footwear - it did include daywear, evening and cocktail but were always smart and not at all casual. They produced shoes in the Skyline range from at least 1947-1962.

Yes, the boots are definitely 1980s - I remember a lot of woven leather uppers - Stefan Kelian made them popular for women in the late 1970s an then men's shoes picked up on the style in the 80s.

Thanks so much for your replies!

No problem about the photos of the Clarks, I believe there's another pair for sale on ebay, though in better condition than mine. :)

I never would have guessed 1980's, though now you mention it they do remind me of the sandals(and other shoes) produced around that time. Also, thanks ever so much for the links!
