Dating and Identifying Fur Coat

Can some one please help me identify the age, make and type of fur of this coat I bought today from a Salvation Army Store in New Zealand. It is definitely vintage, has no label inside except on the inside pocket it has a label that reads D1662.
Any help would be appreciated.

Pretty coat. It's muskrat fur and it dates to the 50s.
