Dating and Info on Vintage Shoes

I could use some help dating these shoes and some info on them.

I am guessing these are from the 50s, but I am total noob.

The insole of the shoes says "Smarteeze", however the box they were in says Miles shoes, but a google didn't turn up much for Miles shoes. Was Miles perhaps the store?

Thank you so much for your help. And, I'm not sure if I am allowed to ask about pricing, but how much should I be asking for a shoe like this?

I think the shoes are from the late '60's but I am not a shoe expert - but I love shoes! I can't see the heel but the toe looks like late '60's to me. Smarteeze would be the brand. I think Miles was a shoe store chain - it rings a bell. Try searching for that. Jonathan is our show expert and he'll probably be along shortly!

We don't give help with prices. We recommend that you check our member's shops and websites to see what the range of prices asked might be for similar shoes - and look at completed auctions and completed sales on eBay and Ruby Lane.

Did you purchase these at the estate sale you mentioned in your other post?

Yes, I did purchase them from the estate sale. I only bought 4 pairs today as the % off wasn't as much, but no one else was even looking at the shoes.

Thanks for the heads up about pricing, I wasn't sure if it was okay to ask or not, but now I know.

Thanks!

Hi,

I sure do remember Miles shoes, we had one in our downtown back in NJ when I was young, also in a few of the early malls, and they were indeed a chain. I even remember that exact same shoebox! I bought many a pait of shoes at Miles when I was a pre teen and teenager.

I agree with Linn that they look 1960's, mid to late, with those big flat bows.

cmpollack- They've actually never been worn, so no dress they would have been paired with, lol. The majority of the shoes at the sale weren't worn.
