Hello, I'm not sure if this is a site that can help me. We have and antique writing slope that we are trying to put a date on. I was hoping to find out where I can have a piece of the velvet writing surface/skiver dated. We were hoping to be able to send a piece to someone who can examine with microscope etc. to determine the age. Thanks, Mary Ellen
