Dating baby clothes- part 1

I have two items I will post separately. I’m going to be a new nana this September to a beautiful baby boy, so of course I had to find some vintage clothes for pictures. lol This is entirely hand sewn. I got all of this stuff from an estate sale, so I think it was all for the same baby so possibly the same age.

Baby clothes are so hard to date. At the museum, we only consider baby clothes that come in as donations if they are 'through the roof spectacular' , which is rare (and has only happened once - with a whitework Victorian Christening gown with an 6 foot skirt ), or positively dated.
